It’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been doing an awful lot of baking, a fair amount of making and a little raking (actually, I really must buy a rake…) Anyway, lots to report. Not today though.
Today I ventured into the garden. My poor neglected garden. I have been true to my word and not done anything in the garden this year. I’ve planted a few new plants and done a tiny bit of weeding, but no major restructuring. That’s a job for the spring, once I’ve spent the winter poring over my many many gardening books.
Now the weather has turned. It’s cold out there. The magnolias are losing their leaves and the garden is slowly creeping into winter. Just outside the kitchen window, though, some self seeded cosmos is holding on. Standing tall among the golden asparagus fronds it brightens the view and brightens up my day.
