I was super excited last year when I discovered that my favourite online fabric store, Fabric Rehab, was selling a green version of the reindeer fabric I had used the year before to make Bobby’s stocking. In the run up to Christmas I hurriedly quilted and sewed up James’s stocking. But at the last minute I ran out of time. This is how it has looked since:
This was not a big problem last year. James was four months old. To be honest, it probably wouldn’t have been too much of a problem this year, as he’s hardly going to notice a bit of missing slip stitching, as long as there are presents in the stocking. For my own peace of mind, then, I finished it. I slipstitched the binding and attached some ribbon for hanging. I added some ribbon to Bobby’s too. Both stockings are now complete and hangable, ready to be attached expectantly to an appropriate door handle on Christmas Eve.
